All of the CLAMPON pipe coupler products have been fully tested to ensure their safety and quality. The coupler rated at 16 bar was SABS tested to failure and detached from the pipe at a hefty 50 bar on HDPE piping. Tests were also performed on PVC piping by two independent pipe manufacturers and the same result was achieved. This over design was necessary to allow for factors such as surges and water hammer.
